Matthew Tenaglia, Director of Bands and Music Teacher at Warwick High School and Warwick Middle School, was nominated by Ed Campbell, who shared that Mr. Tenaglia is: “A really great teacher who strives to help our students be the best they can be. Also he really likes to have fun with the music he teaches. He spreads the fun to the kids.”
Mr. Tenaglia’s primary responsibilities include directing the Middle School Concert Band, High School Symphonic Band, Warwick Marching Band, Warwick Middle School and High School Jazz Bands, and 7th grade general music class. In addition to his responsibilities at Warwick, Mr. Tenaglia is the Symphonic Band Director at Elizabethtown College.
He began his teaching career in 2009 and previously taught in the North Schuylkill School District until joining the Warwick faculty in the fall of 2016. Mr. Tenaglia has traveled with his performing groups on various trips across the Eastern United States. Students of his have gone on to participate in District, Regional, All-State and All-East Band Festivals.
Mr. Tenaglia is a member of the National Association for Music Education, Pennsylvania Music Educators Association and Lancaster Lebanon Music Educators Association. Mr. Tenaglia resides outside of Hershey (PA) with wife Shannon (also a Middle School Band Director), and their two year old son, Cole.
