And With Hope, We Rise Up!

"And With Hope, We Rise Up!" Medium-Easy/Grade 2, is dedicated to the members of the Paradise High School and Junior High School Bands and my old friend, their Director, Mr. Robert Schofield, after nearly their entire town was destroyed by the deadliest and most destructive wildfire in California history. 

Bob Schofield worked diligently to regroup the bands, some rehearsing in an airport hallway in the nearby town of Chico, California for the remainder of the school year, while several practiced on their own because they could not travel to rehearsals. Many of the band members, however, were able to gather to perform in their Winter concert where the combined Middle School and High School musicians premiered "And With Hope, We Rise Up!".
