“In a Series of Unrelated Events” was a created as a reflection of an Internet/information driven society, where we are given pieces of information at a very fast rate, and often in a "non - sequitur" fashion. The piece is book ended with player created "chaos" that has a never-quite-resolved melody hidden in it both times. It requires a medium level ensemble of 12 – 15 players that includes a rhythm section of bass, drum set, and synthesizer.
