Into Battle is a fast-pasted piece that depicts scenes from a chaotic and everchanging battlefield. This is an enjoyable piece for students to play that focuses on moving quickly between notes within a limited range. Into Battle helps with teaching independent playing through several melodies and counter melodies in all voices and rhythmic ostinatos found in the upper woodwinds. All of this is being driven forward with engaging yet achievable percussion parts.
